quick question about writing letters to a school (after being on the waitlist)

Im writing a quasi letter of intent / kiss butt letter.

WHo are these types of letters usually adressed to ? SHould I have this sent directly to the dean of admissions, or simply the commitee on admissions? Does it matter?

I recently sent update letters. I addressed it to the Dean and Office of Admissions. I wrote:

Dear Dr. Evil and The Medical Admissions Committee, :wink:

For one school, I know the interviewer is supposed to bring any new info to the committee, so I sent the same letter to the dean and interviewer. For this case, I just called the school and asked who to address it to. I reccommend you do that, esp since I found out once school doesn't even accept anything new at this time.
