Hey all.
WHY in the world do so many schools in the US require "Two science professors and one non-science professor" as references?!
I've got ONE professor, one dermatologist, one work reference, and I could drum up lots of more pertinent referees. It's frustrating for us folks who are out of school - even for a few years. As an aside, my second degree really didn't allow for any "non-science prof" interaction (doing engineering in 3 years hurts), unfortunately, so that particular reference is particularly challenging...
Any tips? Has anyone experienced flexibility on this front? I'm applying here in Canada as well as Australia, and I don't want to abandon my US applications...
Cheers,
M.
