Hello all!

I was curious about all of the remote VA positions that are being advertised and offer 100% telework/you can be located anywhere in the U.S. Are there any downsides to these positions versus ones that require in-person clinical work at the VA? Thanks in advance!

There will be some differences between fully virtual BHIP (either embedded within an existing team or potentially on a fully virtual BHIP team), speciality clinic (more rare) and clinical resource hub (they are largely self-governing).

Some of the biggest differences might be involvement such as supervision and committees (could be harder or not available depending on the facility) and likely more challenges with advancement if leadership opportunities are important for you.

The local facility culture, supervisory style and facility issues (like access issues) will likely play a big role in whether it's a good gig or perhaps not so much.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
