morphine has been recommendedfor severe pain.

thats right ,thats what i was thinking too.But can you give me a complete answer or alternatives.Suppose you were asked this in your interview what would you say other than morphine??

If i were asked this in the interview i would say that i could take pharmacologic or behavioural approaches.the former is doctor centered while the latter is patient centered. For pharm approach ....as u said severe pain i would still stick to Morphine as the answer. For behavioural approach, i d begin with finding out the exact cause of pain ie whether it is psychologically related or infact genuine and then treat accordingly by using a combination of both the techniques. i hope i have answered your question.

thanks for taking the time to write
