So the hospital recruiters I recently talked with handed out some data from a recent survey. The 25th, 50th, and 75th percentiles are around 180, 240, and 280, with the median being 220-ish. From East to South to Midwest to West, the mean ranges from 240, 257, 235, 233. Unsurprisingly, the 75th percentile also has much higher compensation per collections (about 50% higher) and overall had higher RVU's (25th: 3900-ish ; 75th: 5800-ish). Since salary seems to be an enigma for those in training, I found this useful.

This is for FM withOUT OB. Survey was conducted in 2014.

Here's for FM w/out OB, IM outpatient, and IM hospitalist. "Control" and "+" are your friends.
