What oral antibiotic would you prescribe for a patient who developed a skin ulcer after radiotherapy?

Skin Ulcer? You mean like desquamation?

Acute tox? Late tox? surrounding erythema? itching/tenderness? fevers/chills? what are you treating and where is it?

Big difference between a skin ulcer which is desquamation from say a breast cancer 4 weeks into treatment, vs a skin ulcer at a breast cancer 4 years after treatment

I usually give Silvadene cream but since 4 weeks out there's an associated fever I want to give something oral. I'll go with Keflex.

If you're worried about a skin effection you probably should cover MRSA: doxycycline, minocycline, bactrim, clindamycin, linazolid ($$$$).
