Hi! I'll get straight to the questions:

1. I'm an incoming sophomore and plan on asking my chemistry professor (who I had for two semesters in a row) for an LOR when I get back to school. If she says yes, I assume I'll send her an e-mail around application time requesting the letter?

2. Would an astronomy LOR fall under science or non-science? I ask because I've read that science LORs are preferably bio, chem, or physics.

Thanks for any assistance!

Some schools specify that it has to be from bio, chem, physics, or math. Some just say "science". You need two science letters for most, so just have a backup LOR.
