specialist pathway..psychiatrist..help please

Hello everybody I wish to hear any helpful information

I am Arab board certified and go 10 years of experience as a psychiatrist in the middle east...I'm thinking to move to Australia
if anybody had a similar situation,I would appreciate so much if they told me their experience with the specialist pathway
also I am wondering how much money it costs to be assessed as a specialist since I read somewhere it was 7000$ which is too expensive..thanks in advance

I'm Brazilian psychiatrist and will try the specialist pathway in July. I think the $7000 is the value I read about too. I don't know if it's the final fee after have the specialization recognized.
I hope to have IELTS in July.

Thanks for your reply..why dont you try OET instead of IELTS..i think it's better than IELTS?
7000$ just to asses your qualifications or after they say you are ok to practice/be registered ?

please let me know your experience because I'm considering to move to Australia but I dont want to risk losing my good position here before getting enough details about what I may expect if i move to Australia..

I think IELTS can be more useful than OET and I think I can get 7 in IELTS (I hope so, I'm studying for it).
I'm not the right person to give you more information about $$$ because I'm trying to find someone that completed the pathway. I think the final fee of 7000 you pay after have all approved. So you get the register (in some way...). It's really hard if we have to pay 7000 just to have the qualifications analyzed.

I've a good position here in Brazil too and migrating will be a very large step but I'm very focused in following the specialist pathway.
