DESCRIPTION:

Offering a PGY-2 position available to begin on July 1, 2014.

Prerequisites: Graduate of AAMC medical school Completion of ACGME approved PGY-1 internship by June 30, 2014 US citizen.

Additional Information: Stanford University offers an ACGME approved residency in ophthalmology for four residents per year. Training takes place at a university based tertiary medical center, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Palo Alto Veterans Administration Medical Center and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.

When I was there we had 3 residents/year; there was always talk of expanding to 4 but the hiccup was always funding. Maybe the $ finally materialized.
 
Or maybe someone dropped their spot?
