Ive been looking for summer research programs for undergraduates and I am applying to several in my local area. Does anyone have any advice on finding a paid lab experience not through internships or special programs? I want to look for other opportunities because the programs I am applying to are competitive and I would like to work in a lab this summer if its just lab tech stuff and nothing spectactular. Working at my undergraduate school isnt possible. I am looking for something on long island, such at stony brook or Brookhaven lab, any fellow LI'ers have any advice? I was thinking of maybe calling the Stony brook bio dept to ask...sorry for the long post
