Hi, I'm planning on taking the mcat in september, and I've only taken the first semester of biochem (which includes everything up to but not metabolism). Any tips for learning this for the mcat? I have the Kaplan mcat review book, and I am also waiting for my BR set (everything ordered from them except the psych/soc book).

Haven't started studying yet for the mcat. I will be starting this week after my finals are over. Will a normal schedule that includes content review and practice problems be sufficient to cover these biochem topics? Should I do supplemental things?

I'm just curious, but what's in your biochem course if not metabolism?

focus on kaplan biochem from chapter 9 on and gain a conceptual understanding of:

glycolysis / bridge step / kreb's cycle / ETC
gluconeogenesis
glycogen build-up / breakdown
p3
beta-oxidation & fatty acid synthesis
urea cycling
