Hello,

I plan to submit my primary application this week and just wanted to know if it is too late to submit at this point.

Here are my stats;

3.95 cGPA, 3.94sGPA

Asian
FL Resident
Biology major, Chemistry minor

Strong LOR's and good PS.

-2 years undergrad research (No pubs, presentations)
-Post-bac NIH Intramural Research Training Award (pubs expected within next 6 months)
-Co-authored small research grant
-150+ hrs. shadowing
-Numerous Scholarships, full ride to undergrad institution
-Hospice Volunteering ~50 hrs
-Various science related educational volunteering ~50hrs
-Assisted in design of undergrad upper level science lab ~100hrs
-TA in Biochemistry
-Started a successful table tennis club, where I raised enough funding to start the club and routinely coached other members(100+hrs). Also held a leadership position (President)
-Held a leadership position in the Chemistry Club
-Worked part time at a local business and privately tutoring (Organic chemistry, biochemistry etc.) during undergrad
-Member of various honor societies, recipient of the dean’s list throughout undergrad.

Here is a preliminary list of schools that I am considering applying to:

UT- Houston
Keck School of Medicine
Stanford University School of Medicine
George Washington University School of Medicine
Georgetown University School of Medicine
University of Florida
University of Miami
Emory University School of Medicine

University of Michigan Medical School
Mayo Medical School
Dartmouth Medical School
Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
Mt Sinai School of Medicine
New York University School of Medicine
Duke University School of Medicine

With my Stats/EC's, am I still going to be competitive applying to most of these schools this late in the cycle? Thank you for your help.

Don't apply this cycle. You'll be complete around end of October, which is significantly late. Apply in June of the next cycle and you'll be successful.

I interviewed at four and got into three schools for matriculation fall 2012 with similar stats and didn't get my secondaries in until November. I obviously don't know how good your writing / story is, but you certainly have a shot.
