Hi everyone! I am currently applying for the class of 2027 and would love your input. I'm a Florida/Virginia dual resident and will be graduating from Virginia Tech in the spring with Biology major (biomed track) and Animal Science minor as a member of the Honors College.
I’m applying to a good number of schools including: Kansas State, Virginia-Maryland, University of Florida, Tufts, University of Sydney, Western, Mississippi, Auburn, Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue, LIU
GPA: 3.78
Science GPA: 3.69
Last 45: 3.83
Did not take GRE
Veterinary experience (~400 hours):
Animal experience (~500 hours):
No research experience
Awards:
Non-animal related experience
LORS:
My concerns are in my experience hours. So many people have such great hours and I am afraid I am lacking in that area. I am using my explanation statement to let them know I did have two summer internships lined up in the summers of 2020 and 2021 but both fell through due to COVID and them not wanting to bring extra people into the hospital (which is totally understandable)! Please let me know what you think, very much so appreciate any feedback!
