  8. Shadowing: 75
    1. Family Medicine
  9. Non-clinical volunteering:
    1. 1500 hours youth group leader at church
    2. 400 hours food making/delivery to underserved city in MI
    3. 300 hours handing out free food and clothes for holidays
  10. Other:
    1. Basketball coach for high school boy league
    2. Violin player

They are rural-focused from what I understand. You have good chances at UMich, and the some of the others are located in or near cities that you'd probably like over CMU's location (Wayne State, Oakland, Michigan State)

gotcha! probably would not be a good fit for CMU then. If I get into umich im going there no matter what but if I did not, i would enjoy WSU, OUWB, and MSU.
