WAMC/511 MCAT/3.6GPA/3.55sGPA/ DO schools?

Submitted 30 MD Apps for the 2020 cycle around mid-September. Still waiting for interviews, but in the meantime was wondering if and how many DO schools I should add?
  • cGPA and sGP: 3.60 cGPA and 3.55 sGPA (strong upward trend and currently taking post-bac classes)
  • MCAT: 507 (126/127/126/128) --> retake 511 (126/129/127/129)
  • State of residence or country of citizenship: MD
  • Ethnicity and/or race: ORM Asian
  • Undergraduate institution or category: Category 2 (In the midwest)
  • Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): Volunteered with community health clinics
  • Research experience and productivity: research technician/study coordinator for the past year full-time
  • Non-clinical volunteering: under-served areas advocacy efforts and president of an undergraduate service organization
  • Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): research technician/study coordinator for a full-year
  • Relevant honors or awards: First author abstract submitted to a national conference

Have you used the WARS rating system? It should tell you if you even need to bother with DO schools or not. Although throwing in a few wouldn't hurt but your stats aren't terrible for MD schools.

Here is the WARS rating system thread. You can download the template and put in your stats and it will tell you what schools to apply to: WedgeDawg's Applicant Rating System (Updated Jan 2017)

Thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, I have looked at the WARS rating system and it "says" I do not need to consider DO schools at this time but given this is just a guideline - I'm still debating whether or not to add DO schools.
