"Also wondering if I am going to apply to Texas schools, would I be better off applying through TMDSAS (since the cGPA would be 3.9+ and sGPA around 3.85) or if that would be a waste of time given the MCAT score @wysdoc ?"

The only way to apply to the TMDSAS schools is to fill out its application, which is separate and a little different from AMCAS.
TCU is the only Texas MD school that uses AMCAS.
Although the TMDSAS schools do like to brag about their high MCAT medians, the range of MCATs of matriculated students spans from 498 to 526.
OOS matriculants to TMDSAS schools are usually on the high side of GPA and MCAT, unless you fit a school's special niche in some way like being an engineer and applying to Texas A&M EnMed.

Thank you for the feedback. Was ambivalent about also applying through TMDSAS. One less thing to focus on now :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback. A lot of these were not on my radar until now :)

To the wiswme Faha's list, delete SIU unless you're from the southern part of ILL.

Add: ACOM, UIW, WCU, PCOM and all VCOMs except LA
