Was the 4/30 MCAT easier, or am I just dumb?

If you spaced it out that way, I guess it's a little more unfortunate. Still, your actual score is not that far off. There are people that experience a 10 point drop on the actual thing due to nerves, extremely bad luck the particular content tested that day, etc.

Do you mean ‘harder’ in your title, or by ‘easier’ are you referring to the common perception that easier questions mean a less favourable scale?

In any case, it looks like your scores for the content-based sections were pretty much spot on relative to your FLs. The CARS drop was the one that really surprised—but that section has higher variability anyway, since it depends on what passages you get and how comfortable you are with those topics.

You’re not dumb 🙂 but we might be able to better help you if (in this or another later post) you give more details about how you prepared and what was going on. If I were you I would’ve hoped to improve more over 3 months of prep, but at the same time, this might be your ”real score” and you’ll just have to apply “around“ it, so to speak. But can’t tell without knowing more.
