If you are truly a highschool student, for your own good - step away from SDN. Come back in 3 years when you are a junior in college. SDN will demoralize you and give you ulcers if you start looking at it too early. Same thing with mdapplicants (which nobody should ever go to ever.)

Good luck!

Graduated with a 3.6.
However, I got a 1570 on the SAT, and a 35 on the ACT.

Only problem was I had been suspended from school about 4 times. Who would have known undergrad programs looked down on that sort of thing?

ok i will step away and delete this out of my bookmarks.geez...

Graduated highschool with a 2.2 GPA and a 960 SAT score (this is what deppression does to ya). 3.9 GPA so far in college.

I earned a 1.0 and got a 100 on the SAT for writing my name even though I spelled it incorrectly.....And then I got into Rice, Duke, Stanford, ND, UCLA, UC Berkeley, etc... b/c of Affirmative Action ( I am afr. amer and I totally took advantage of the system)

Don't get mad... Flopotomist was just trying to do you a favor, since SDN can make you (me 😛 ) feel inept and unaccomplished.

As for high school, I had a 4.0 unweighted GPA, a 1520 SAT, and was salutatorian. If only I'd been that driven in college.

It must have been close to the lowest possible for graduating figuring I recieved mostly D-'s, and some F's. I also think I graduated last or very close to last in my class. Suprisingly I got a 1110 on my SAT's without reading any type of literature since my 8th grade subscription of playboy. But that doesn't mean anything anymore... I did absolutely nothing in high school, but I am still rolling with a 3.75+ in much harder course work now. I think I might go back and make fun of my old high school teachers for telling me that I wouldn't be anything if I didn't try hard in high school.

i had like a 3.0 in high school, but i got a 1390 on my sats. so penn state took me in.

and also.. christ. a high school student on SDN?

i'm waiting for the aspiring elementary school doctors to ask us all how many hours we spent in the sandbox.

do i detect a little sarcasm in there?

and if you must know, 3.9GPA, 1430SAT, 34ACT...then i got to rice and it messed up my head.

lol, 3.6, 1310

Yeah you would think that!
I obviously made up those grades and SAT scores or else I would have never gotten accepted at those schools.....

Are you being sarcastic with me? If so put some type of face on here b/c I do not always catch it....

So anyway as I was saying:
Here are my real high school approximations:
3.8 unweighted 1410 SAT and I am african american
here is more info if the high schooler wants it: I lettered in Varsity Basketball, Varsity Football, Varisty Golf, Team Santa Monica Club Swim team member, Honor Society Stuff, National Science Scholarship, Tutorer, and the list goes on.......

Yeah Rice kicked my azz too!!!!! Such a rude awakening as a freshman at Lovett!
But hey I did learn alot.....Dr. Gustin, Dr. Meffert, Dr. Morris, Dr. McHale, Dr. Gibson, Dr. Caprette, Dr. Burton, and Dr. Laughery are all really cool.

Not racist....prejudiced! I was just reflecting the opinions of many on SDN...I and many others like me just tend to be the scapegoat.

1600, 4.7 weighted.

Don't mean **** now though.

3.4 and a 1350. But I was a very unmotivated child...i only did what i did cause of my parents...and i was that way for my first 2 years of college too...my sister on the other hand, valedictorian and is getting over 1400's on her sats...she's extremely motivated...i think she's gonna get into med school no doubt.

"I scored 1.1 on my SATs but still push a whip with right and left ACs"

Who cares about high school?

3.1 and a 26 on the ACT (didn't even take the SAT) if you can believe it. for whatever reason, my college GPA was 3/4 of a point higher...shows you high school is just for getting into a decent college (baseball did that for me). after that, the whole slate's clean. the same goes now that i just got into medical school...

African Americans can't be racist. If he was white, he'd need to be banned, but he's one of the good guys, not an evil oppressor, so it's ok! 😀

ya'll are gettin pwnd

yaayyyy another SDN penis/boob contest.

4.0 in high school, valedictorian, but a rather disappointing 1300 on SAT.

3.8 in college, magna cum laude, and 28 on MCAT.

2.4/1540

I was too cool for school. Whoops.

1.2 gpa, 0 on the SAT, cause I didn't take it. I dropped out. Went to community college, transfered to UC Berkeley, graduated with a 3.4. However, it took me 8 years to get through college, because I had to start from basic classes, and went mostly part time while working and taking care of my family. Do the best you can in high school, but don't let your grades define you.

dr. morris and caprette were my favorites...in fact, they both wrote me LORs. hahaha.

3.9? unweighted (not really sure, had two A- though), 35 ACT.

HS is good for:
1. getting you into a school you want to go to
2. learning study skills
3. AP and "Honors" courses that prepare you for more difficult college courses

Not really....our basketball season ended around march (mid march) and our golf season started around the end of february.....so yes there was a little bit of an overlap....but coaches dont mind!

The same thing happened in football!
