I love both institutions, so no slights meant here, and you’ll be a fine doc coming from either place, but Case has the edge in prestige, research, and clinical training sites. And while some have said Case is “maybe a bit better but not enough to affect how you match,” that is just not true - Case has a better track record of placing more people in top specialties at more prestigious places.
If you were paying I think this becomes a very difficult decision - you can still match well from OSU and Case is stupidly expensive, so at some point you pick OSU and just accept you may need to work a bit harder but it’s worth saving that money. But if you have the resources to pay then Case is the choice that sets you up best professionally.
From a personal life standpoint, I think it’s nearly impossible to gauge before being at the school, but friends I’ve had at each both equally enjoyed themselves - wouldn’t let Facebook activity drive too much of the decision.
