Im slightly confused about how LM score is used/ why it is relied on?

I have higher LM scores for Brown and other schools that, according to MSAR, I have 0 chance at and then "low" LM scores for schools that I fall within their data ranges?

For example, Brown University, I have an LM of 74 but then at other schools where I fall within their data range on MSAR I have lower. I know it's purely based on your MCAT/GPA but neither of my stats are even within Brown's 10th percentile...

ah! Ok! I guess the confusion was whether the number shown when you click generate schools is the LM avg for the school or your LM score relative to that school's data. Thank you!
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the list generated by the LM calculator gives you schools that are both above and below your personal score. The calculator is pretty outdated at this point (I think Cal Northstate has one of the highest averages still?), so I would make a WAMC post here or check out admit.org if you need help with a list.
