Hello, hope everyone is having a great day.
I was wondering if anyone here has experience with residency consultation services. I've heard they can be expensive, but do you think they're actually worth it?
For some context, I'm aiming for strong IM programs with good fellowship match rates. I think my application is above average overall, but my biggest hurdle is that I require a visa.
Since I don't really have strong ties to any particular region, and most of my connections are limited to the places where I've rotated, would it be worth using a reputable consultation service to help with program selection (especially signaling) and to review my CV and personal statement?
Time is running out, and I'm not sure I'll be able to do enough due diligence to identify the programs that fit me best. I'd really appreciate any thoughts, especially from people who have used residency consultation services before.
