Asking Interviewer Questions

I have several written down right now. I'm pretty sure I'll have more once I get to the actual school.

After 2 interviews, third tomorrow, I don't bother making up questions before I see the school. I found that all of the questions I had going in were answered very early, or were too specialized for the interviewer to answer. In my opinion it's best just to ask questions that go along with the conversation you are having with the interviewer.

Although, it may be helpful to have some prepared questions, I agree with the above.
Also, I think asking question directly relevant to what has been discussed during the interview also shows the panel that you have not only listened, but have thought through aspects of the discussion as well.

I had prepared questions, and didn't use them. I still think it is a good idea to have some ready in the event that they don't pop into your head during interview day. Do make sure you ask some questiions; that is key.

👍 Prepared questions are like a safety net. In good interviews you'll probably need them less because it'll be more free-flowing. But you don't want to go in completely unarmed, because you might not be able to think of something on the spot.

Oh, and don't reuse prepared questions between interviews at the same institution, unless you don't get a decent answer the first time. They may write down stuff you ask, and if it's the same three questions both times, it can look disingenuous.
