Just started Dexter season 3 disc 1 (netflix) .... can't wait for disc 2! Man, I love this show!

I was reading People magazine and found a spoiler about Rita! I am so mad, but now I'm intrigued.

I can only do one of these things, because the internship is full time (so I won't be able to work at the clinic), and if I try to work at the alzheimer's clinic for next semester and then do the internship over the summer, I probably won't be able to come back to work at the clinic after the summer. The way I see it this is a choice between a long term position versus prestige and the fact that I can handle a full time job. I think working at the clinic will be better for me, but I'm not entirely sure, so I thought I would post this. By the way, both positions are very fascinating and would be happy doing either. I just want some input as to what will look better for med school apps.

I would go with #1 since you'd get patient contact for an extended amount of time. It sounds similar my current job, and the PI on the studies I work on practically begs people to write papers, so I don't think it's necessarily true that you wouldn't get a chance to get your name on a paper. But I guess it depends on the PI and how much data they have. Did you ask them if there are opportunities for authorship? If you put it out there they might give you more opportunities or responsibilities.
 
I got all the way to the last episode of Dexter season 4 and stopped. My girlfriend wants to catch up before we watch season 5. So in the meantime, Psych is keeping me busy. Finished season 1 right now and working my way through 2 as we speak. Its a pretty cool show, I like it.

Psych is such a great show, the seasons keep getting better and better. They just had a Twin Peaks themed ep! It was so awesome.

Obituary: You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when my sister Cougsickles brought Doug Asyouwereatrio home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack... it grew by one. So there...there were two of us in the wolf pack...I was alone first in the pack, and then Doug Asyouwereatrio joined in later. And six months ago, when Doug Asyouwereatrio introduced me to you guys, I thought, "Wait a second, could it be?" And now I know for sure; I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. Holy **** that was embarassing. THANK YOU!! Welll....more like my relationship imploded and I'm no longer Mr. McMakeouterson...although even while we were in it...I wasn't even him. *sigh* THAT's how bad it was.

Sorry to hear about the breakup, but I'm glad there's already a new boy on the horizon! I usually hear players/man-sluts using terms like "shuga lips" though, so be careful! 🙂

Haha....this boy was on the horizon DURING my relationship...he just kept on tickiling me and flirting with me in lab...after the breakup, the whole flirtation thing kinda died out...but we still talk and whatnot.

...we just haven't figured out if he's gay or not...everyone except two people vote yes!

story of my life.....haha I guess the obituary really did resurrect me!

LMAO! <3 you Whimsical! I know that the answer is yes..and so does MOST of the world....I haven't even brought in the physical evidence...(that sounds kinda wrong...but I'm just referring to his hands being Mr. Flappety McFlapFlap.) I'm bad for stereotyping but it's so true!

Anyway....he is definitely on the flaky side...like half the time as of recently I can't get a hold of him for like a half-day...but he's so adorable! People say we'd make a cute crazy couple...(because he's kinda crazy--politically speaking...and i'm just a crazy, loud, obnoxious pre-med lol).

Haha...I love how I didn't reallly go into my relationship details too much but you're already thinking it wasn't a good fit, because it indeed was not....good intuition!! We talked about it when we broke up....we knew that something wasn't right but we just lied to ourselves by telling ourselves that feeling would go away...but it never did....and three months later...*implosion*.


So for anyone who missed me..that's been the gist of my life for the past 3.5 months...I think cougs has been on it though. She's walked me through a lot of the drama....(and Yay i actually used her SDN handle...haha 😛)
 
If someone called me shuga lips, they'd have to be really hot to make up for it :laugh: Anyway, best wishes with that area of your life, and it's good to see you again

Ahhhhhh I just saw the cutest baby in the history of babies (except for Chicklet and any other SDNers' children, because they're obviously so cute that they'd make my head explode) today! My co-worker's wife brought in their two-month-old son, and he's got the most adorable chubby cheeks and hair and smile and everything! 😍 Nothing like a cute baby to brighten my day.

Edit: And welcome back Trio (or is it Rio? That's what I always think of anyway 🙂).

Oh man...that is a lot of pressure. I don't know if I can be responsible for answering that one.

All I can say is that I am out of town, had nothing to do all day, went to see a matinee show with a really tasty peppermint hot cocoa, and I feel that I totally got my money's worth.

Dunno if I would have gone out of my way to see it at home or would have paid for a night time show🙂 I liked the singing though.

what's the verdict? i'm planning to see it with ma mère when i'm home for christmas. i've seen differing reviews, although they do seem to depend on whether or not the critic likes aronofsky...
 
is black swan out now? i've only seen a few previews, but no release date...(goes to check movie listings)
 
the best part about black swan is natalie portman and mila kunis. together. in one movie.
