Been waiting for GHSU to get a forum, just wanna say good luck to everyone :xf:
 
Good luck to everyone...let me just say from experience, once you find out you've been accepted to GHSU CoDM, you better enjoy the hell out of life before getting here in the fall. Take a light spring load, travel a lot, spend tons of time with all your friends, because in August your life changes like you wouldn't believe.
I can't wait to meet the 2016 class!
 
Someone posted on another thread that 20% of those accepted were called today. When I called the office on Nov. 29, the secretary told me they mail out notifications. She was a little short with me. I understand though-- they must be getting a ton of calls and emails asking what the status is.

I'm definitely freaking out because on interview day, I'm almost 100% sure they said "you'll hear on Dec. 1"

Don't freak out. Not everyone get accepted at once. They accept people in batches. If you don't hear from them by Nov 17 then freak out🙂

Good thing I started freaking out already since its way past Nov 17th. 😉
 
Don't freak out. There were some calls made today for some of the early acceptances. They'll still be making final decisions over the next couple weeks. I didn't hear until Dec. 21 last year. Hold tight and good luck!!
 
It's monday and the anxiety resumes.

Please post if you hear anything! I know, I know... I can't help it. I haven't been sleeping well at all. I wake up in the middle of the night and then can't go back to sleep. I really hope this agony ends soon.

I am comforted by the fact that no one has heard anything since 12/1 😳

Not trying to be negative but I dont know what is worse, the waiting or getting a rejection? I know, I know, dont think like that but as they say...hope for the best, prepare for the worst🙁
 
Seems like everyone has better stats then I do including people who got waitlisted at other schools...I wonder why I even got an interview?

Your GPA is better than mine if that makes you feel better :laugh:. Also SDN isn't the best way to compare yourself against the applicant pool. Most people on here are more proactive and have better stats than the average applicant.
 
The wait makes the day 10x longer! God only knows how bad it will be once exams are done and we still haven't found out.

and another day goes by with no news (no news is good news?)😕, at least I got my finals to keep me pre-occupied
 
I just called the admissions office and asked for a timeframe on notification--one way or the other. I was informed by the very friendly lady that "they" (the admissions committee) are in a "MAJOR" meeting and have been all day. She said they've been working "feverishly" in hopes that they won't have to use their meeting scheduled for next Wednesday to discuss the final decisions. Good luck to all! Hang in there--this waiting game isn't fun, but hopefully we'll hear something soon. :xf:
 
Yes, I can confirm that the board is meeting today. So I guess we'll hear tomorrow or Friday if it's good news, and nothing if it's bad? If they finish, that is. Otherwise, next week...

Question-- do they always call everyone they accept?
 
They do not call everyone they accept.... Maybe 30-50% of people they accept. Good luck!
 
So they call some and e-mail the rest??
 
Call or get the certified letter I believe...GREAT, now I will be trying not to think about this while taking my calc final at 8:30 in the morning
 
Just got the call from Dr. Haynes...30 minutes before my first final...how the heck am I supposed to concentrate now??? GHSU CoDM c/o 2016!!!

Same here. If I dont get in this year I have to wait a whole year till I can apply again. Sigh
 
I don't really know what to think at this point. I figured the thread would be getting posts like crazy if there were a ton of calls today. I don't know if I should lose hope after today, or after Friday or what. >.<

Same here. The depression is already setting in. When did you apply sfh2012, I had an earlier interview close to KTM's and Im scared I may haven't gotten in if they're doing it in order 🙁.

I didn't get a chance to ask if they were calling tomorrow. I'm sorry. I wish I had asked because I know the feeling of being anxious because I had been that way all through december up until today. I had literally just gotten out of septum nose surgery and was on the ride home when they called so I was more than a bit loopy or else I would have asked. If I had to guess though even if they didn't call today it seems as though some may just be in the mail with no call. That's what I have read in years past. GOOD LUCK GUYS.
 
It just seems weird how they would only call a portion of those accepted and then mail out the rest. But a letter would do just as well as a phone call, so long as it was good news. Is there any word on whether or not you want a thick or thin envelope? I've heard that different schools do different things.

Did anyone have a late interview? Mine was November 18th.

Could someone who is accepted find out if they have finished deciding on acceptances? Someone said that they might finish voting this week, rather than having to meet again next week. I beg youuu :scared:

I interviewed Sept. 26 and have not heard anything...
 
I interviewed in November, think I remember them saying something about getting an acceptance package so I think you should beware the thin envelope. As Tom Petty sang: "The waiting is the hardest part."

I applied in July and had my interview sept 30th. As far as I know, they're not finished with the selection process. And I highly doubt they're going in any particular order. I wouldn't worry yet. Keep the faith!
 
I interviewed sep 18th and have yet to hear back. 🙁 Slowly losing sanity.........
 
Hey everyone, I received a call from Dr. Haynes last Thursday around 11:30. Of course I was working and missed the call and had to call back. When I called I was informed that the admissions committee had met the entire day of Nov. 30th and were having a hard time of agreeing on acceptances.I was also informed that the acceptance letters are certified mailed requiring a signature. I interviewed Oct. 28th so hang in there everyone. Just on an honest note, I applied last year and was rejected via a thin letter. If you aren't accepted make an appointment to get advice on what to improve upon for next year and keep trying.
 
Can anyone confirm that they do indeed notify some people that are accepted by certified mail instead of by phone? Someone also mentioned that they may have not finished with all of the decisions. One can only hope. Lol.
 
Guess you'll know for sure when you get the certified letter or package
