all state schools are a joke.
like i said. you all don't know me. if you did, you would know that I was #1 in my high school class, but my family moved to a different country, so i had to get my ged. which, along with my finances, left me restricted to IUP. it's not too bad of a school, but it's not great by any stretch of the imagination.

Why do people keep saying this 😡
Nothing on you, just a general peeve...

State schools are good, it's what you make of it!

I meant no disrespect. I've never been there.

Touche. If you're not a total gunner, you should think about clarifying some stuff. People seem to be trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. I almost thought you were actually _______

what?

It's what people who go to private schools say to try and justify the cost. And it's what people who go to crappy state schools say to feel better about their crappy school.

Josh, may I ask why you want to hike east / west like Peter Jenkins did? There are several north / south trails like the Appalachian that are better supplied and more scenic. I followed FatManWalking online in 2005 and the bleakness of an east west hike seemed quite depressing.

Every day on the trail so far has been incredible. No bleakness. God willing, those North-South trails will be tackled in due time.

Because Jesus' walk wasn't well supplied or scenic.

So are you taking time off from school or something? And also, are you hiking like the Oregon trail or something to SF? The sierras will be rough man.

is there an easier way to do this? some posts automatically appear, but i have to refresh sometimes to get the most up-to-date posts. it's annoying.

Nope. This isn't twitter, nor are there push notifications. Ctl+R is your friend.

Yeah I've just been refreshing this whole time. I noticed that too.

Josh you're a good guy. I apologize for being a dik in the previous posts. Try to learn from this experience, more importantly welcome to SDN. This forum is a great resource to obtain a wealth of knowledge. I hope to see you post on here soon. God bless and good night!

The Pacific Crest is an American jewel and I hope you get to experience its majesty. You can truly experience God's re-creation through recreation. 👍

Yeah check out the interview feedback section especially, extremely helpful.

In a positive light, it's good to learn NOW to keep your social media profiles on private. Having your twitter and Facebook open to the public in general can lead to some sticky situations. Locking it so only your friends see the content makes things easier.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Whereas I have my own feelings about my being led to this forum, I'm glad for the not-so-subtle invasion of privacy if only because it led some of you to find the website for my walk. and although you all might not agree with what the walk entails, maybe you'll somehow get something out of it anyway. or maybe not. If I find any less annoying threads on this site, maybe i'll be posting. but frankly i'm not much of a forums guy. again, thanks to whomever fished through all my accounts to nitpick at things. it'll probably benefit me a good deal.

agreed.

On my laptop the f5 requires another key to be pressed or it just dims the screen.

Plus, I use my iPod for SDN. Everything is posted from the mobile version for me.

Honestly, everything was perfectly safe for public consumption. Just that one post at the clinic...

well this thread deescalated quickly

I guess welcome to SDN josh lol ?

Yep. It is probably better for the premed and medical students to find this information out than to have an adcom find it. Luckily there are only like ten SDN members that admit to being an adcom member. Your chances may be shot with them if they remember your name, but blocking everything else will prevent more from finding out about the openness of your HIPPA violation.

Best of luck and hopefully we see more of you soon. This site does help many people. In fact, your errors probably helped at least 50 people to change their privacy settings on Facebook. That's a positive.

See guys, God acted through SDN to prevent some jerk from ColeSmallsing this guy

Somebody give this guy his own thread. Move over MedPR I think you've got some competition. 😉

Someone should aware him about the rescindment of november

LOL@ The Dean of admission for Alabama taking ColeSmalls acceptance away by saying, "Your actions are not representative of this school" and then getting a DUI himself a month later.

flodhi1, I'd like a word with you.

what's that?

A member of SDN had an acceptance taken away because of something he posted. The medical school said that his actions did not represent the school and he was rejected a few days after being accepted. However, Mr.Cole had withdrew all his applications after the acceptance.

lol yeahitsme its a good thing you found SDN before an adcom googled your name

How the hell did a light hearted thread evolve into something so historic??

holy wow. well i made a request in the "contact" section of this website for the posts made with obvious malicious intent to be removed. do you all think i have the chance of that being honored?
