Definitely a bad choice to ban him instead of post hold him. He was pretty helpful, a donor, and a 2+ year member

I think his account was already on hold before.

maybe he posted the rescindment letter?

If he did, it was under a different name. I forget the username that posted it, but it wasn't flodhi.

Did anyone catch that before it was deleted? Fastest deletion of a thread I've ever seen :sly:

And now I'm wondering which user you are

Join date jan 2013... Hmmm

No one will ever know... Except maybe pro-detective Fifimiki (pls don't detective me bro).

Actually, I found this through the med student thread on bb. Warrior Crew :naughty:

Google bro.
It's called official misc med student thread.

Also, you had to ask? You don't deserve your user name. Wish sdn would let me take you to the red zone.

Umad?

Dats the guy. And no it wasn't posted in the past, but he did PM to several people. It was pretty harsh. I'd be scared if I ever got a letter like that! Why can't some people just cool down.

lol saved before even reading it when i realized what it was. Knew it would go down quick.

Good idea. Wish I would've thought of that but I just woke up and my brain wasn't functioning at high capacity. Glad I caught a glimpse of the most epic letter in SDN history though

dead silence from uwotm8 after his discovery of misc med students. let's see if he comes back with some new lingo for us.

I was PMed the letter and it was not from flodhi. It was from another SDN user who is still alive and well (whom I will obviously keep confidential).

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting anyone that was extraordinarily weird. I remember that at lunch for one of my interviews, we were all talking about how surprised we were that everyone was normal.

Other than the understandable nervousness, I felt like everyone was cool. Some people did say a few things that were sorta off but understandable. I remember at one interview, there was a guy that was constantly talking about a non-profit that he started. At another interview, there was an interviewee that kept telling adcom members that he was a big gambler and that they should play him in cards.

I do think bringing your parents to an interview is a tad immature and could possibly hurt you. I remember reading something about how you should try to display independence from your parents in an interview because you don't want to seem like a child. Obviously, your parents won't be there helping you make life and death decisions when you're an attending and you should try to display as much autonomy as possible. My main rule is, do not do ANYTHING that can hurt you in an interview. So, why risk it?

Anyway, this thread has been hilarious. To the internet detectives, well done

with regard to the rescindment letter.... it was posted in full picture in its own thread. I commented, went away to check something and I think the whole thread was deleted...I can't find it

Are we talking about the cat in the hatt letter? I have that thing in my downloads folder still lol.

I couldn't decide which was more appropriate. I think the first one.

The amount of epicness on this thread has officially crossed 9000.

I'd be surprised if this thread doesn't go down in SDN history as one of the greatest.

:smack::smack::smack::smack::smack::smack::smack:5-10 minutes of my life I will never get back.

Wow, I can't believe I'm so late to such an epic thread.

This wasn't at the interview, but after my interview I went out to a bar and met a girl, and when the bar closed she invited me back for a night cap. She prefaced her invitation with "don't get the wrong idea", and had earlier showed me a picture of her very large and scary looking "boyfriend", but I went over anyway, because....well why not?

Well, while we were in her elevator, she finally confessed to me. Turns out she was an Escort, and her "boyfriend" was actually her pimp. I got a little nervous, but she assured me she wasn't trying to rip me off or anything. Her roommate (another escort) was away, and she didn't have many friends in the city (only clients), so she just wanted a platonic dude to kick it with. We watched south park and slung beers till the wee hours of the night, and she made me some tasty vodka drinks (with her top shelf vodka of course). She received at least 5 phone calls from "clients" on her multiple "burn phones". Her apartment was LOADED....huge flat screen TV, xbox, PS3 (all things I don't own/can't afford), stereo and sound system, big comfy couch, expensive furniture, king sized waterbed (which wasn't the bed she slept on). Made sense since clients were offering more than $500 for an encounter. Obviously I picked her brain a bit too, and learned quite a bit of the inside scoop from an escort.

Definitely and unexpected and extremely interesting way to spend the night after my interview. And for the record, no I did not sleep with her. I told her I was too young and attractive to pay for sex, and she agreed.
Hahaha, that's insane. I don't think I would've gone back, but certainly wouldn't have taken a drink from her for fear she'd slip me a roofie and rob me with her pimp. That's what growing up in L.A. does to you.
During a finaid presentation, one guy picked a booger and ate it.

He saw me looking and froze for a second with his boogery finger at his lips, yet still decided to go full bore and proceeded to chow down. He probably thought he was past the point of no return. The booger eating didn't really bother me. But we locked eyes while he munched on his birdie-eagle-bogey. Groce.

Everyone else has been surprisingly normal. Even met a couple lifting bros who posed (why bother? can't see **** in a suit, bro) and asked me about my routine and supps.
This literally neauseated me.

Towards the end of the interview day on the tour, we dropped towards the back of the group and began chatting just the two of us. Turned out we were both staying in the same hotel so we exchanged numbers and decided to meet up some place on campus after the day was over. It was about a 15 minute walk back and because our flights were not till the next day, decided to go check out the local night life. A couple hours later, met up for some dinner and then went out to the bars afterward. After a little bit we decided to walk around the UG campus which was nearby. We sat down on this bench with a nice view and pretty much started talking about random stuff. I was attracted to her, but I didn't want to make it awkward and didn't make a move (wasn't sure if she was just being friendly). Then all of a sudden, she interrupts the conversation and says "I'm sorry" and jumps on me. Made out for a bit then headed back to her room and it went down. Afterwards, she said I would make a great surgeon, if ya know what I mean ;) It would be pretty cool and a little awkward if we both went to this school. I guess I'll have a study buddy :D
Simply bomb.

My addition comes during an interview where an extraordinarily loud girl arrived right before the tour after taking a red eye flight. She began by interrupting the tour guide before we got started to ask if she could grab something to eat first, as she hadn't eaten in a day or something. Then she proceeded to cuss throughout the entire process, make rude comments along the lines of saying she hoped people got rejected followed by a rapid but insincere "just kidding," and generally act unprofessional. The kicker was when she was telling a story about how on halloween she gave her interviewer a small pumpkin or candy pumpkin (can't remember) and how she was surprised that interviewer felt it was inappropriate. Oh dear, you just should've been there, as it seems like this description doesn't even do the awkwardness justice.

Other than that, my experiences have been pretty pleasant.

That's so strange! Was her interview on Halloween or did she come back just to give the interviewer the pumpkin?

Omg it's the sdn detective

No detective pls

ugh, I feel really bad about that now. I thought everyone was joking around and wanted to know if he was real or not so I looked him up :( I didn't know everyone was going to freak out and make fun of the guy  Like I said before, I think he's a good guy. At least he's part of this forum now but how did he find out? Did someone tell him? I left and the next thing I know, the twitter is gone!

It's one thing to be the detective, but another to post everything for people to see :eyebrow:

That being said..

Don't shoot the messenger. We all wanted to know and this just goes to show you how easy it is to find information and identities even from "anonymous" accounts. The guy was posting some stuff that while amusing to the rest of us could have landed him and his hospital in a heap of trouble because of the possible HIPPA violations. The twitter feed has been deleted and hopefully lessons have been learned. Never post any patient information on the internet or any social networking site.

I didn't post anything that he didn't already have on the internet for the public to see. Nothing was private. All I did was make the connections between his parody account and public accounts. It's not my fault he had his full name, phone number, school, locations, family members and other stuff on his PUBLIC profiles

As many gems as there are in this thread, it came at too high of a price. Flodhi was one of the few overlooked, brilliant posters on this forum, and I can't count the number of times he gave very valuable, specific advice to users, myself included.

RIP Flodhi 2010(?)-2013

fifimiki,

you did the right thing. you provided the greatest thread i've ever seen, and probably did that guy a favor in the long run. what if the douchebaggery continued for like, another year, and then we found him? There would have been dozens of HIPAA violations.

I hope he learned to not be a dbag but i think arrogance of that magnitude can't really be fixed, and definitely not overnight. he just seemed to think he was so much better than everyone else. but he definitely learned a few things about privacy and the internet.

I'm gonna do one of those "email yourself in 10 years" things with a summary of this whole situation. so i can google him in 10 years. PM me your email address if you want to be a recipient as well :naughty:

edit-
just to be clear, so nobody is assuming anything, i'm only sending myself a reminder so that i can have something funny to laugh about in 10 years. I will probably be a mother by then and i will have better things to do than actually do anything mean to this guy. this is not a mean-spirited idea, im only having fun.

i just wanted to say that because i re-read my post and it sounded kind of mean. I already have a couple of takers. laughs will be had in about 3650 days.

OK, I'll admit that I tweeted him because I thought he deserved to know. I at least would want to know. It probably did good all around though. I mean you proved to him why he should make his profiles private. I felt like some jerk would have RollSmallsed this guy, and despite the arrogance, I didn't want that to happen. Now he knows to maintain a private profile and he even joined SDN. My intentions weren't for him to come here and receive snarky comments though. I hope he realizes that.
