Hey Guys,

This is just a post for all of us out there who are taking the June 18, 2009 MCAT Test!

First of all, I have been trying for an hour to get in, but the MCAT Registration site says

"Thank You for Your Patience" blah blah blah... wait for your turn!

Anyone else getting that out there?

*** UPDATE: Just got off the phone with MCAT folks and they said not to leave the webpage, or else you will lose your spot and they will open the registration link before noon.

********************** UPDATE 2: I just got in after having waiting since 8:05 AM this morning EST. I had turned on both my laptops and both the home computers. Just wait and you will get in. So, registered at 10:40AM

Once you sign in, everything is just normal! good luck!

*************************** AFTER TAKING TEST---

So friends, took the MCAT on June 18th @ 2PM

I signed in at 1:20PM, but was seated at 2:15PM, they had computer issues, but there were people who came after me and they went ahead of me, made me kind of nervous.

Overall, I felt okay, not good and not that bad.

PS - Some parts were good, but OMG, there were some where I was like, what the hell is this?

VR - WTF? Where do these passages crop up from? They are the most random passages. The one about Thoreau, Whitman was the most awkward one. However, the stupid passage on sperm whale topped in insanity and utter rubbish.

WR - The second prompt that related to dishonesty and friendship. How weird and awkward? I ended up writing about prostitution.

BS - O.M.G.! This was hard! This was harder than the PS in my view. There were some passages that were short, like 2 of them. But, there were one or two that were just tooooo long and weirdly detailed. The one with Colcine Acid or something like that that was injected into the mice, what the hell was that??

On Practice AAMC

PS - 8 to 10
VR - 9 or 10
BS - 9 to 10

Real MCAT Prediction - NO CLUE!!!!!!!

I figure one of two things can happen, either all my panicky (is that even a word?) anxiety today will payoff when I see that 30+ score and I will be even more excited about the vacation that I am about to go on in 4 days and I will cry tears of joy....OR...I'm gonna curl up in the fetal position and cry for the rest of my miserable pathetic life🙁

is this thread serious.. SERIOUSLY?!!?!? whats the worst that can happen.. retake it in august if u do bad.. or wait another year and take it next year.. and reapply.. my goodnesss

im at my office just waiting.... this is horrid.
gah, 25-35, it's up in the air. Didn't even finish the PS.
I'm imagining all seven scenarios for when i receive scores of 27-34 to prepare myself.

im already planning on retaking it.. iv let that settle into my mind.. so im not too dissapointed with the scores.. but my take is.. no point in freaking out now.. its scored.. theres nothing u can do..

i agree kupersht... and i don't think i did too well. But still, can't help but get a bit nervous today. haha.

Actually, this was my third time taking it, and I am reapplying this year....soooooooo yeah I'm a little more than freaked out:scared:

I'm sick as a dog with bronchitis so I was up all last night coughing up my lungs. I have a huge deadline at work on Friday, and all I can think about are my MCAT scores. Good luck guys, we're all in this nervous hell together.

Looking at this site has given me relief from a little anxiety. Also, I've read all the posts today and noticed no one has cried wolf about the scores yet. GJ everyone, you usually don't find that on forums. Yes even academic ones.

good God that sounds like the kind of crazy dream I would have. although for some reason i haven't been having MCAT dreams- i have this disturbing new thing where, when i get stressed out and nervous, i have dreams that i am fighting with my boyfriend!! last night i had a dream that he kissed some other girl right in front of me. and when i freaked out and got mad at him he was all like, "what? so what? chill the @#$% out." 🙁🙁

the GRE gives you your score as soon as you hit the damn button to finish!! then they mail you your writing sample score and 'official' score later . . . genius idea dontcha think?

are any of you superstitious? normally i don't believe in that sort of thing but when the stakes are high i can't help it . . . this morning on my way to school i heard my lucky ass-kicking song on the radio and i was sure it was a sign! foreshadowing of a kick ass day perhaps? (it's not like a song you hear on the radio everyday either . . . i cant even remember the last time i did!)

This is My average exactly as well.. except like 1 pt lower on the PS and 1 pt higher on verbal!... 28 is my breaking pt...if i get lower.. i will retake.. GOOD LUCK!!

My heart skipped 2 beats when I read your AAMC practice score thinking it was real score, probably went up to 120, and then died back down to its resting point when I noticed that it was averages.

Can you count on appendages that don't bend? I always assumed that finger counting required your fingers to bend to signify a count. Else it's using your head.

I think that real exam was way harder than all AAMC's especially with BS
section, I usally finish this section 10-15 min early and do great
ON real exam I had 5 min for last passage

THE BS was WAYYY harder.. ur right on amt of time left.... i always have that same amount left and i never use it on the practices.. so i was hoping to be able to have plenty of time to check answers on the real thing but i ended up running out of time.. on all sections.. it was horrible..👎

I've been told the earlier/8am exam scores are released earlier in the day, and the later/2pm exam scores are released later in the day

...but I really I hope this is wrong...I took the 2pm test and am dreading an entire day of waiting! :bang:

I've heard this too, but it was only speculation. Did you get this from a source?

I think we can get her a guest shot on "Wild Kingdom." I just whacked her up with about 300 cc's of Thorazaine... she's gonna take a little nap now

I'm miserable.

Someone should call the AAMC and ask what time scores are going to be released.

So I pretty much just woke up today and of course checked to see if my score was up yet to no avail. I had some crazy dreams last night, mainly involving my mcat score, which was a 30 in my dream. It is highly unlikely that my score will actually be this high though. 🙁 Good luck to everyone though! I will be sweating this out along with everyone else!

im gonna be F5'ing this thread all day until someone announces that scores are up
