Depends on the person. Some need to study more while others study less. For me, 2-4hrs per weekday, while a total of 8-12hrs on weekends. I found the big thing to do is to get all subject areas covered a month or two before the real MCAT even if your MCAT class hasn't covered it yet. Allows you to adjust your study habits and focus early.
It was easier for me though since I've taken a great deal of the advanced courses for the subjects found in the science sections. Its not that i know more advanced stuff, i just had to deal with it more times than most people. Repetition is the key. MCAT wasn't that bad, it was all hyped up just like OChem and PChem were.
I got a 34, works for me. Oh yea, Verbal Reasoning, took most of my time with regards to effort. I did them well, but time wise, i was slow, so I had to put in more effort at speeding up but not at the cost of accuracy.
