It seems that someone previously closed this thread. I don’t think there’s nothing wrong with this discussion, ultimately one of the purposes of this forum is for everyone to voice their opinions and experiences about the different schools and interview processes. If there’s a valid reason for closing this thread for violating any of the student doctor’s code of conduct I would like to know what it is.Here is a summary of previous postings so people can continue voicing their opinions, unfortunately I didn’t save all postings locally, there was quite some more on the thread.

The previous thread was closed because it was defamatory towards someone who can't respond here to defend themselves. This falls under the harassment clause of the TOS.

It is fine to have frank discussions about certain programs, but to essentially accuse a PD/adcom of racisim is unacceptable supposition.

I was the person who opened that discussion and opened that thread , however for some reason my message was deleted and it was under PRINZMETAL .
We ( me and Prinzmetal) asked the moderator to either put my message or again put it under my name or compltely remove the whole thread.
Here I apologize to PRINZMETAL for the whole thing.
All that was said here on NATY LOPEZ thread was my idea , and had nothing to do with PRINZMETAL. She ( prinzmetal) didnt necessarly agree with my stand point regarding Dr. Lopez.
Thank you Moderator and good luck to all

I for one would like to know why this thread was closed....It seems like anytime something that is the slightest bit controversial is opened on the international dental forums thread it's shut down faster than a pauly shore movie...

Seriously, is this not a DISCUSSION forum? can we not vent our personal views and opinions here? if not , what is the point of this forum? I'm seriously questioning that...the stuff that people get away with saying in the other forums which I peruse often is much more questionable than what is posted here...

So i'm asking for a response from the mods to please let me know why this thread was closed..I wasn't even participating in it, but found it as an informative view of how many people view the UPENN inteview process...

I found nothing in the thread that was objectionable to the rules of conduct here at sdn where I am an active member...are we so close minded that the slightest comment against anyone or anything immediately gets shut down? I'm not trying to start any controversy here, I just want an honest response....the ponit of this place is to discuss opinions, gather information, and hopefully come out better at the end of it...

So what's up?

As I said in the edit of the first post of this thread: the content of the thread in question was defamatory which is a violation of the TOS of SDN. We certainly don't discourage discussion of UPENN, but accusations about the adcom/etc there were over the line. The discussion is welcome to continue without making accusations about individuals at UPENN.
