It might be a tad early for this, but... I thought it might be helpful to have a thread listing which schools require supplementals, along with vital info like due dates, fees, whether you automatically do them or if you have to be invited, and what they consist of (essays, etc.). I saw the list on the AAVMC website, but some of the links to the school pages are expired so I thought it would be better to ask the people who have actually filled them out! This way, everything can be referenced from one page instead of several. Here is the link to that page just in case anyone's interested:
http://aavmc.org/vmcas/supplemental_applications.htm

If no one else likes the idea, feel free to ignore me! 😳

For Minnesota, do we just send them a $75 check ?? Just like an envelope with a check inside? I dont want to sound like an idiot but it just seems wierd.. 😳

Who do we make it out to? University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine? Sorry to ask a kinda dumb Q 🙄

Ohio State says their supplemental is due Oct 1 - and that you must submit your VMCAS prior to submitting the supplemental!

Can an interview requirement be added (ie. Interview/No interview)? I know there are a few schools that don't require interviews, but I'm not sure which.

The info in this thread is *technically* from last year, so some dates may be a bit different. I hope everyone double checks the deadlines for themselves!

I would certainly like to restate twelvetigers' comment above. All interested applicants are strongly urged to verify application information with AAVMC (http://aavmc.org/vmcas/college_requirement.htm) as well as with each individual school of interest. Admissions information can very easily change from year to year so each year applicants must closely read the information available from AAVMC and the individual school(s) of interest.

I stapled my check to a tri-folded sheet of paper so it wouldn't be small enough to fly out when they open it. I wrote "Payment enclosed" on the front of the paper.

Quoted from their website,

"University of Minnesota application processing fee of $75 will be due by October 15, 2009. Applicants not submitting the Minnesota application processing fee will not be considered for admission. Application fee checks can be made out to the University of Minnesota. Be sure to include your VMCAS ID number on your check. We do not accept credit cards or cash at this time."

If you turn it in on the 30th (today) it won't be a problem! I sure would hate to have an application thrown out for a technicality! I turned mine in yesterday, but I was planning on having it in by today just in case.

I called ohio state today and they will accept supplementals until midnight on Oct 1st

I would certainly agree with amom427. Get the application in as early as you can and do not push the deadline. VMCAS is very firm on the deadline and while an applicant may appeal to have an extention, the chances of having an extention granted are extremely slim at best.
