This is a question for those of you who took the PCAT already either in June or in Jan and used Dr. Collins prep of verbal.

I was wondering if you saw any of the vocabs in you test and if anyone found them any good?

I would really appreciate your reply because I don't wanna waste my time trying to memorize them if they are worthless.

thank you 🙂

His verbal section is INCREDIBLY helpful. Memorize the words and the analogy lists!

thank you for your response so quick!!👍

The problem is that I don't have his stuff, but I found this website that has the list and it includes the 190 words. So I am definitely going to use your advise and fix them in to my head because it my weak point 😡 and I am not a native speaker either 🙁 Btw what is in the analogy lists? May be I could search for those as well.

I think that I saw 8 analogies that were directly off of his practice tests and 9 sentence completions that were on his practice exams. They were incredibly helpful, although Verbal has always been my strong suit so I wasn't too surprised that I scored in the 92nd percentile on that part of the exam.

I noticed one of the analogy on the dr collins is wrong

emu : dodo :: elephant : ___________

The answer key says it's hippo but the right answer is mammoth according to the pcat practice tests....anyone else notice this?

my collin's packet say mammoth. check your analogies list. #81.

I noticed another one wrong on Collin's:

Calculus:Trigonometry as Painting:_______

Dr. Collin's says palette, but I saw this on the online PCAT test and the correct answer was sculpture. Sculpture sounds better to me, but I can see how they both could work. What do you guys think?

Which practice test is it on?

So basically memorizing the words and analogies from the packet is gonna help me? I memorized about 500 words for the PCAT for August and I didn't see one on there. However, I memorized the words from the Kaplan course book.

Hey guess really sorry for the late reply I wanted to keep myself away from this website so I can forget about PCAT for a bit!

http://www.flashcardexchange.com/flashcards/list/1354582

this is the website I used and I cant believe how many words I saw from the list! Make sure you all know every single one of those I can bet you will see around 10 to 20 words which is worth it then not knowing anything of it plus there are so many words which you might already know.

Good luck guys!

Cannot wait till i get the score I swear I do not wanna take it again the exam room felt like hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙁 (thumbs up if ppl who took it agree)

Thanks Nidhi, you are awesome!. I went to that site and i was suprised i knew more that 85% of the words. I dont know but i think they are a little too easy compared to the pearson practice i took. Guys what do think?

I was able to find this PCAT verbal list too and I thought it was easy. The vocab list on the flashcard are exactly from Dr. Collin's PCAT package. However, I think doing his package would help more in the analogy section.
