Thursday School Transmission...?

So, being overly anxious, I looked up the last two years of any dates I could find where AACOMAS has transmitted apps to schools and in each case that I found (not many) it was always a thursday.

This may not be news, but I think this thursday might be the first transmission day for AACOMAS this year.

Here's to the first wave of Secondaries! Good luck everyone 👍

It actually might be next week. Last cycle it was around the 21st, so a full 3 weeks into June. Hopefully that'll give more time to some of ya'll to finish your applications/prewriting your secondaries! It's an exciting time of year, isn't it? 🙂
 
Ughhhhhh I want to submit my app already so I can get the first wave of secondaries, but my fee waiver application is holding me up! I hope next Thursday is when apps are first sent out.

I haven't written any DO secondaries.. I hope it's next week too.
 
I haven't pre-wrote any secondaries either. I probably won't write anything until I get the e-mails. I have started to brainstorm what I want to write about though.

Also, how many schools screen? That might make it take longer to get anything.

I messaged AACOMAS and they said transmission would be next week.
 
Mine were released as well!!! woo!! bring on the secondaries...
 
submitted 6/5, verified like 6/11 ... released 6/14
 
I submitted today. Do you guys think it will be verified by next Thursday? My transcripts have been in since mid-May. I really want to be early. 🙁
 
You called it HalfListic. Released today. Every time I click on the "view" link it says, "Sorry could not find file at this time." I wonder if it's still processing. I am interested to see what my GPA is after verification. Hopefully hasn't changed much...
 
Oh god no.. I need to do secondaries tonight and tomorrow! Hopefully schools don't send them out until Monday at the earliest 🙂

Guys, please post any secondary essay questions you get here, so that people who haven't been verified yet can start working on them too!
 
Mine says sent 6/14 -- but it won't let me "View" what they sent. "File not found" error.

Anyone else getting that?
 
next wednesday, schools will be getting our primaries.
i called aacomas today and one DO school told me today they will be able to download next wednesday.

Ditto...but I verified that its not a mistake and should be up later today, or tomorrow.

No worries man, the main point is to just get the secondaries out there for all our benefit. I WILL say that my thread is easier to navigate, but my opinion may be slightly biased. I updated my thread with the secondaries you listed too so thanks for that!

Here's an unfortunate update...this was the response from AACOMAS re:not seeing grades yet:

Today 8:52 AM
No additional steps are needed on your part. You will see the correct dates and file next week Thursday.

One more week...but at least they're released!
 
I submitted 6/13...how long do you think it will take me to be verified?

I am nervous about the screenings...what are the cutoffs? I've tried searching for them in the schools websites but found they were a little convoluted. :scared:

If everything was entered correctly it should be more than 2 weeks (I think yet quote 3-6, but you're still very early)

As for cutoffs and other great info, google search CIB 2013. It's the MSAR or DO schools and it's free to download...
 
I am seeing the same thing as well (error message). My application was released yesterday but I cannot see the summary they provide under the view tab.

So are we not truly being released to the schools until Thursday next week? Sorry if I'm playing a little catch up here. I'm currently starting a job and just want to get a good idea for when the secondaries may be coming......
 
It's been released to the schools. It's now up to the schools to start downloading this first batch of applications and they can start right away, but they usually have a once a week schedule. Maybe this starts next week?

Either way, it's a good idea to start on the secondaries you can and stay ahead of the game.
