I got accepted at Tufts with 9 community college pre-reqs under my belt. It's possible. Great school, worth a shot at acceptance.
What were your stats?
I have a total of 12 hrs that are from community college including biol2, phys 1 and 2.
I was offered an interview at BU despite having taken a few things at Community College. I even called and they said it was ok.

But, you probably did higher level courses in the same subject-areas in which you did the community college courses. In that case, they allow pre-reqs taken in the CC.
Or, was it different for you?
Should I apply to tufts and BU if I did EVERY SINGLE prereqs at CC?
I am at a 4 year uni now working on a bio degree and have taken biochem and cellbio&neurosci and plan on taking other upper level science classes like genetics, microbio, parasitology, and many more(about 50-60 credits worth of upper level science).

Yeah good question!! I probably could get a waiver for Bio but im not so sure about my 8hrs in Physics at a CC.
Id really like to know. I dont want to blow off a couple hundred bucks if theyre just going to take my $.
Called both colleges today and heres what they said:
BU-They were nice and told me that there is NO WAY AROUND THE PREREQ for the sciences (they have to be taken at a 4year or you need to take upperlev to satisfy this requirement) The other courses like Math and english can be taken at a CC as long as your university youre getting your bachelors degree from accepts them.
Tufts-Have to take upperlevels or redo.

I took only phys 2 at a CC over the summer. Do you think they'll (Tufts, BU) let me slide by?
If the post on this thread prior to the one you posted from the poster who claims to have called the schools and asked is not clear enough for you, I suggest you ask the schools yourself. No one on this forum is going to know better than the individual schools.

I believe tufts want you take take upper level science courses in the same discipline if you did your prereqs at CC.
i had to retake physics 1 and physics 2 over the summer cause i took at community college for TUFTS. they do not accept community college credits for pre-req. But the good thing is , they will still give you an interview if you are willing to retake it the course that they want you to! Many colleges do not do that and just reject you!!
