You guys are so lucky, there's so many of you, that you can living arrangements ahead of time. Cool! You could always try the Wanted and Housing Forum. But I don't think you need it.

On the other hand, Omega, Raj and Opal, if you guys don't mind, could you please share your scores with us, so that you can be included in the IDP Compiled Stats List. Thank you.

By the end of this semester there'll be some more housing available, 'cause some students will be moving out.

The thing with BU is that is located near some other colleges in the Boston area, so is there's a lot of demand. A friend of mine goes to NorthEast Univ. (or something like that), which she says is right there from BU and she pays $1,000 for a one bedroom apartment, and she has had the same rent since 2001. She shares the rent with a fellow student who turned the living room into a his bedroom.

hey guys did any one looked for an apartment yet and if someone is intetsed in sharing one mail me at [email protected]

hi everyone
i stay in boston and just thought i would share my 2cents here for those willing to read it! 😀

if u all are lookin for accomodation i would say go ahead and send in applications for the housing asap so that u get in ahead of time. u can tell them the estimated moving in date so they can notify u of the availability of accomodation. u can look on sulekha.com and craigslist for boston etc. for availability.

BU is at the junction of massachusetts avenue (mass ave) and I-93 towards south of boston. BU is in a not-so-nice area of boston and so its not really feasible to stay too close to the univ unless u dont mind the area and are willing to stay close by for convenience sake.

check out this univ website on directions to the school:

hi

we stay in the longwood medical area near brookline and yes it is expensive as rajkang said. but there are places other than longwood towers and they are not quite as much but not very less either. range of about $1200-1600 for 1BR brookline is a rather well-to-do suburb and so most of the housing there is bound to be expensive.

one thing to remember is that south boston, roxbury and dorchester are not so great/safe areas of boston. but a lot of BU students do stay in dorchester -harbor point apts- which on its own is pretty safe but the area around it is not. one of my friends paid $1600 for a 2BR apt there.

this is just my 2cents...do check out the accuracy by calling places yourself and finding out. rents change every year and if u take an apt right now (before summer) u might stand a better chance of getting a good deal.

:luck:
