Pre-Med Roommate threatened to kill me

Hi everyone, its my first time on this forum.
So the story is, i was going through my roommates stuff to look for supplements to workout because he said it was ok. So i found weed and I told the RA. He got arrested, kicked out of the dorm, and txted me that I ruined his med school chances as we are both pre-med. I called him and he was upset, he said that he was gonna kill me.
 
you must tell the RA/dean that you've received a death threat
 
This sounds like a job for....
a) the police
-or-
b) a forum full of anonymous pre-meds


Also, y b a snitch? Subtle gunning hall of fame.
 
Well I don't want to, because he already threatened to kill me for something small, imagine when it is for something big, what he would do. I am scared for my life
 
Lol this does not belong on sdn. Maybe bodybuilding.com would be more appropriate.

Truth. But seriously, you should probably contact the authorities on this one.

no seriously, if your are actually scared you have 3 options:
1) do nothing
2) call your "friend" and ask him about the threat, maybe he can say something to help you realize he's not serious
3) tell the authorities (RA, dean, police, etc..)
 
Tell the police and get a restraining order or
Something

Well, obviously, you don't want my advice. Also, so many people posted so fast that it didn't load your last post. I would've read your last post if I saw it. Name calling doesn't help anything.

sorry, but in real life, we have responsibilities. This isnt no 1920s mafia movie. I can tell you arent a smart pre-med
 
That's a pretty crappy thing to do to your roommate. Don't be a narc. It's not like he was trafficking cocaine. You probably did ruin his med school chances unless he is an otherwise very strong applicant, and even then, he will probably end up at a much worse school than he otherwise would have.

That being said, threatening to kill someone is never justified.

Not saying it's right, but I understand

I dont even feel guilty, he shouldnt be smoking marijuana, an illegal drug

Goodfellas was not set in the 1920s. I can tell you have 0 common sense, to the extent that you post on an online forum asking for helping avoiding a random person because you snitched. umad? :naughty:

Wow, I"m so sorry OP. I mean in hindsight, this may have been a conversation you should have had with your roommate first if you felt uncomfortable.

BUT, threatening to kill is not EVER acceptable (OP hopefully he doesn't see this thread b/c it's a pretty unique story).

Stop publicizing this issue and go directly to the police.

actually u mad, because i never asked for help. if you are pre-med i seriously suggest you drop out or find a different career, maybe art history since you love memorizing pointless dates so much

Haha glad you think you know what's best for him. He can smoke marijuana if he pleases. It is none of your business.

Can't tell if trolling, or just incredibly self-righteous

You will go far in medicine. Patients never do anything that is contrary to your belief system or illegal, and when they do it's totally OK for you to ruin their lives.
 
OP if you feel that strongly about pot then I have to tell you that the alpha thing to do would have been to say "hey bro I don't really want to cause an issue but I would prefer it if you didn't have pot in the dorm, as we could both potentially get in some sh**".

But alas, you took the beta route and screwed your roomie over in the process.

Good luck with your conscience goals of a few years from now.

I personally think its better if doctors dont do drugs while dealing with a patient. Imagine going into surgery and your doctor is high. You wouldnt like it would you? I did the world a favor.

1. Rats on his roommate, gets him kicked out of dorm all over a substance that will be legal in a few years.
2. Calls him and is surprised he is upset.
3. Actually takes roommate's emotional and pissed-off remark "I'm gonna kill you" seriously
4. Calls cops
5. Gets roommate kicked out of college/tied up in litigation/criminal record/etc.
6. Ostracizes other friends who think OP is an idiot and a snitch
7. Ruins roommate's medical school aspiration/career aspirations/sends him to jail. Roommate actually does kill OP for completely ****ing him over

Alcohol is a drug... Should doctors not be allowed to drink at all?

Just because someone smokes marijuana or drinks alcohol does not mean he or she will be scrubbing in drunk or high. There is a time and a place to partake in these activities.
 
Alcohol is different, becuase it is legal. But they shouldnt be drunk during surgery or on the job
 
what supps were you trying to get? I don't think u even lift, brah
 
I hope you all don't smoke marijuana, because if you do thats sad for this country's future that all of our doctors are high all the time
