Shadowing in a hospital vs. private clinic

Hello! Can anybody who has shadowed a dentist in a hospital talk about your experience? Is getting a shadowing opportunity in a hospital harder than getting an opportunity in a private clinic? Thanks for any input!

    Volunteering at Dental Clinic?

Where do you guys find dental clinics to volunteer at? I can't find any near me from a quick google search. I live in a big suburb of Chicago so there should be some near me I'm guessing. Thanks
