I just graduated high school and im going to attend tarleton state university to get my prereqs. in for pharmacy school. I got advice from someone telling me that i should enter the 0-6 program but i have no clue what it is? How do i do it? Could you give me like a guideline of what classes i should take one semester and what classes the next? just to help me get an understanding. I really appreciate the advice. If yall could give me your email so if i have any questions beyond this i could ask? Is there time to have a personal life too while im doing these prepharm prereqs?

I sent you a PM.

Otherwise, look at the different colleges that let in sophomores into their 0-6 programs instead of just freshmen. I am pretty sure Albany College of Pharmacy does (though I hear lots of complaints about that school), and there might be some other ones. Just look at those colleges' sites for prerequisite information. Usually you'd have to take biology and chemistry your first year, along with english and a few electives.

Albany College of Pharmacy will allow you to apply for 2nd year entry, but if you do it apply as soon as your fall grades are available. The later you apply, the harder it will be because they will start offering 2nd year seats to applicants applying for 3rd year entry. Some of these applicants will take the spot and repeat a whole year just to gain a spot in the school.
You'll need chem, bio, stats, calc 1, eng. 1&2 to be in sequence with ACP's first year curriculum. You'll need a B and above in all prerequisites, as anything below is not transferrable.
Most of the other 0-6 programs in the northeast area don't accept 2nd year applicants. Also, many are changing to 2-4 programs (St. John's University being one of them.)

It's probably a little late for a 0-6 program. You basically have to apply for that straight from high school. However, you can still accomplish the same time frame in two steps by doing two years of prerequisites and then applying to pharmacy school.

I just graduated from Tarleton myself, but I know a number of people who got into various pharmacy schools after doing just two years of prerequisites.

By the way, what major are you selecting?

Edit:
For prereqs, be sure to look at the websites for all of the schools that you intend to apply. I assume that you'll want to go to school here in Texas because it will be cheaper. They have almost all of the same requirements, but there are a few little things that differ (eg, A&M wants 4 hours of fine arts while other schools just want 3).

Are you taking any classes this summer?
