Dear SDNers,
The first school I attended, before I transferd, had its labs set up diffrently. They were averaged into my GPA as 1 credit hour, however, they read 0 credit hours on the transcript. (If we wanted the credit we needed to buy it! Stupid Private Schools) How should I enter these classes into amcas, will they not be averaged in because they say 0 credits? Someone let me know... thanks!

My CPR class, which is also on my transcript from the tech school I took my EMT-B at, is listed at 0 credits (but I got a Pass for it), but I put it on the AMCAS so that everything on the transcript is explained.

Even if your school counts the credit for your GPA, if it says 0 on your transcript, I'm pretty sure AMCAS will count it as no credit and not average it into your AMCAS GPA. Either way, you NEED TO ENTER THE ZERO CREDIT CLASSES...otherwise, AMCAS will have to enter them for you, delaying your application...or they might send it back to you as incomplete (you definitely don't want that).

At our school, labs count for 0 credit and we get an "LB" grade. When I asked the AMCAS people, they said anything that's 0 credit (even if it has a real grade) will not be included in the GPA since it's not worth credit...but it has to be put on the application before you submit it!

...that said, if you are really that unsure you should contact AMCAS for a definitive answer.

That's what I figured, which is kinda stupid... Now could someone help me with this question..., I problably have about 3 maybe 4 of the 0 credits A's. Would it be worth purchasing those A's and getting the credit for them, to help out my GPA a little? Thanks...
