BIO: I'm a little disappointed here as I was aiming for the mid-20's. Most of my time was spent studying bio but no amount of work could have prepared me for some of the questions on the test. There were very few physiology/organ system questions, which is upsetting because I f**king slaved over this section. A few easy ecology questions and no detailed taxonomy questions. I probably would have gotten the same score (only for bio) had I taken the test two weeks ago.
GC: There were more calculation questions than I had expected, and none of them had you set up the solution. I can't remember much of this section.
OC: A little harder than I had expected (since almost everyone here says that the OC section is easy). Had a C-13 NMR problem that I wasn't sure about.
PAT: Again, kind of disappointed in this section. I was scoring in the mid to high-20's range on CDP. Of course, you tend to be more relaxed and calm when taking a practice test. Also, the noise other test-takers were making on their keyboards was really annoying (small disturbances really get magnified in situations like this). It also didn't help that for some reason I was reciting lines from "Pulp Fiction" in my mind.
RC: This passages were not as difficult as I had expected. The first passage dealt with epidemiology which I'm somewhat familiar with since I took some public health classes. The second passage was on bridges, which also wasn't too bad. The third was on the nervous system. Topscore passages were denser.
QR: I had no idea how to tackle some of the problems, but other than those, the section wasn't too bad; I'm pretty good with word problems. Always use shortcuts to save time.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the results. My GPA is roughly 3.71, EC is mediocre. What do you think are my chances at UW (I'm a resident)?
edit: oh, I'll be happy to answer questions. It feels really good to no longer check this forum for DAT advices!
