After 5 or even tomorrow evening I believe. People taken the 09/12 MCAT didn't have their scores released today as they're supposed to. So we might have to wait an extra day like they did.

Actually the scores for both the 12th and 13th are supposed to be released on the same day: October 14th. That's how it's always been.

A lot of times they release the score a day early. Unfortunately that didn't happen this time since AAMC considered the 13th a holiday because of Columbus Day.

Good luck.

Well I am pretty much a nervous wreck right now, so please reassure me that this is what everyone else is seeing. Anyway, I know they won't release it till later tonight (at the earliest), but I was just worried that they never listed which test I took.

Well, I really hope you and I do well.

My main source of anxiety is VR, and the essay. :scared:

Funny thing is that I have a doctors appt. right when the scores are about to be released.

Doc: 170/115? that doesn't sound right nurse, check it again.
Nurse: 175/120...
Me: *parched voice* Do you guys have a computer?

hahaha that's great ... at least that helped relieve some of the pressure. I have class at 11, so I brought my laptop with me so I can check scores every 2 minutes 🙂.

I'm worried about Bio the most ... I ran out of time and was really tired by the time that I got to the last section.

hi i'm new 🙂

Anyway, the waiting is killing me. The past 2 nights I've had dreams about it  I kept waking up this morning too. I'm sooooooooooooo anxious right now :x

i cant wait either...the wait for these scores is killing me....sometimes I think I aced the exam and got an amazing score...other times i think I bombed it...

Do you guys think there is going a day or more in delay for scores?

i hope not.... its already driving me crazy.... i also have midterms in the next couple days which are reallly hard to study for with this going on

Well it should be released around 5pm EST today. There's still about an hour and a half to go so we'll see. I have a midterm tomorrow and I can't even concentrate.🙁

No, I am sure they will be released until 7 pm EST,

And schools will not know your score before you, when it release , every school can see ur scores,

GOOD luck :hardy:

Well bombed it again my friends, oh *ucking well!

9/13/08 P 8 V 5 B 9

1st time P 7 V 5 B 7

Looks like I'm **** out of lucking for getting in this year.

Got mine, 37S (13P, 12V, 12B), not excited but accepted. I had only 4 weeks to review during the summer, I might do better if I retake but it is too time consuming. 37S is so-so for top MSTP programs which I wish to get into...

By the way, the curves might be harsh for 9/12/13 test takers.

Good luck everyone with your dream scores!!

37s not good enough? Please, get over yourself

Man, the MCAT is just a bunch of luck. I thought I did worst on the verbal section this time since I essentially spent 2 minutes on the last two passages, but I still did better(11 now vs 10 the first). Overall, I better get into med school now with my new score of 38R vs 34R(before), or im suing🙂.

ps-9
vr-9
bs-10

Was hoping for a little higher on bs...but overall im halfway satisfied. At least it was balanced. Improved 2 pts from last time. My gpa is decent (approx 3.8) so hopefully i can ride this out for a state school acceptance maybe. (TX).

Congrats to all of you who beat the test!

For those who are less than thrilled with their scores, best of luck with your application and (possible) retakes. If you have any questions or concerns you don't want to share with the forums, PM me and I'll be glad to help you out of your MCAT-woes if at all possible! 🙂🙂

38 R: V12/PS14/BS12

Its 4 or 5 points higher than my highest practice test, which Im really happy about.

Now I just need to get my GPA out of the rubbish bin.

In the same boat, don't know what happened. I was really comfortable with the PS and the BS, and I ended up with 8 and 9... this was also my second time and I thought I was more than prepared. Maybe this is not my thing.

The only thing shining for me is the writing sample, R to a T this time, which doesn't really help much. Gah..

OMG I got 9 in verbal, English is my second language, getting 9 in verbal was my dream, my MCAT history for all of the people who are sad and think they can not do anything, please dont lose hope and dont listen to losers that they tell u you can not do anything:

Talk about balance... 🙂

I'm slightly disappointed by my score, only because after the exam I felt like I really aced it. (Also, my practice AAMC had been slightly higher at the 32-34 range.) Are a lot of you in the same boat? Because I remember the comments to be pretty positive after the test, or maybe you did actually all ace it!

Well I hope everyone is content with their score!

OMG to hear this is such a relief!

10/10/10/P

I totally thought I aced the bio section (was hoping for a 12 or 13) because I felt completely comfortable with pretty much all of the questions. I was expecting a score of ~32 because I was averaging around there on my practice exams. I'm pretty disappointed with my score, and I'm wondering if I should retake or just apply with this score.

blerg!

i read somewhere that the curve for this test was tougher... any thoughts? man, but now I feel like I have this giant 30P stamped on my forehead and that the AAMC has just labeled me with this big generic number that says i'm just "AVERAGE".

Just took a look at my scores: 11PS, 11VR, 11BS, R

I guess that I am happy 🙂 given that I wasn't able to dedicate that much time to studying because of my very demanding full-time job.

Though I thought that I would get a couple of points higher in PS given my strong background in that area. But I guess the relative easiness of that section made for a brutal curve this time around.

Nevertheless, I'm not complaining. With this score, I can even get interviews at Canadian med schools.

BTW, I can't believe that I got an 11 on verbal. I actually thought that it was much harder than anything that I had seen before. And my AAMC Practice scores were mostly hovering around in the 9 area.

10 PS
3 VR
11 BS

24P....🙁 I'm very sad...I don't know what to say...

Perhaps a troll?

Generally, I'm very suspicious about a person who gets 10+ on the Sciences and yet score 3 or 4 in Verbal. If you have the reasoning ability and sufficient English skills to score high on the Sciences, how could you bomb Verbal so badly?
Unless you just totally blanked out during Verbal or had a 1-hour long panic attack, I don't see how that is possible.
Plus this person scored a P in Writing.

where did it say that the curve is tougher?!?

thats not really fair to make a tougher curve

I would gladly trade my unbalanced 31P score of vr8/ps12/bs11 for your "average" 30P. 🙁

I really don't know to be honest. Those are my genuine scores. On my practices I was getting 10-11 on both the PS and BS but usually got a 6 on the VR. So I knew the VR was going to be low...but not that low.

I used strictly Kaplan for my preparation but I just recently purchased the EK verbal books so I'm going to try and boost VR using this route.

Well I'm a little disappointed 20N (7-P, 6-V, 7-B)...

Hoping for a possible interview (doubtful), planning to retake in Jan, have not finished pre-reqs (not an excuse, still need Organic 1 and 2, Phys II, and another Bio)

Anyone got any advice, please feel free...
