hello! so I just finished my test and just wanted some advice on my scores, especially my RC score.

pat - 26
qr - 19
rc - 17 😡
bio - 21
gc - 23
oc - 25
ts - 22
aa - 21

My overall gpa is around 3.4 and science is around 3.3. I have worked and shadowed a dentist for 2 years, volunteered at elementary school with tutoring, two medical mission trips to vietnam and costa rica, shadowed orthodontist. I plan on applying in June.

I know that my TS and AA are in the competitive range, but what about my RC? I know that RC is an important factor but do my other scores somewhat make up for it?

17 isnt bad, 26 PAT is absolutely amazing.
Your scores are definately solid and you should have no problem scoring invites.

Sweet scores! I don't think it would be a problem. I'm taking mine on the 20th and I'm nervous as heck! How'd you cope with it?!? Did you use Topscore? If so, how would you compare that to your exam?

OMG. I was terrified too. I barely got any sleep the night before. You really just have to relax, just breathe in and out. Yeah I used Topscore. I don't remember my scores, but my TS/AA were around 21/20 for all three tests. I would say Topscore is a good indication of what your real scores will be. All sections were pretty similar except PAT is harder (hole punching). For my RC, I screwed up because my nerves got the best of me, but it wasn't difficult at all. That's why I'm so disappointed.

My TS/AA were around your score as well but mainly due to careless mistakes (but I don't feel confident with my answers; sometimes I just click "solutions" to make sure I'm right BAD ME BAD ME BAD ME). I'm just afraid of bio because I didn't do hot on the third Topscore exam (the one that's supposed to boost your confidence) and somewhat worried about GC because careless mistakes = killer! But it's okay, you seem like a solid candidate! I wouldn't worry about it.

i had a 17 RC and a bit lower DAT stats(alot lower PAT) than you and very similar G.P.A. I had 2 interviews, NYU and temple. NYU: waitlisted. Temple: acceptance. i dont think you will have a big issue. I was really worried about my 17 RC as well, i think some schools will weed you out on the 17RC ( like they did with me). I know it meets the minimums at most schools, but i do believe some schools wont give you invites because of the 17 RC section. But other than that, i think you look great.

np...i was really scared also, so i felt it was necessary to help others that went through my pain.hha.. like i called up case and asked why i was rejected, they said they like to see a 3.4 in both science and overall. ( my overall was a 3.3, science 3.4). and they like to see a 19 RC. so thats another piece of info that might be useful to u, or not.haha. PM me if you have any questions..gl

what materials did u use to study for QR? Im trying to get a score around what u got but im not willing to go through MATH DESTROYER. is the math section of the DAT destroyer + Kaplan blue book sufficient enough to have a score like yours? any other sources?

For QR, I used Math Destroyer. I definitely think it's worth buying it. The math section of the DAT destroyer is not sufficient enough in my opinion. I didn't use the Kaplan blue book so I can't give you advice on that. Since I wasn't good on probability and percentage questions, I went to my library and just did math problems from a math textbook. On my test, I didn't get a lot of word problems, so it resembled the QR section from Topscore. Hope I helped you out a bit with my response. Good luck on your test 🙂
