Are there any 1 year long PreMed post bacc programs?

I have a 4 year college degree. No Pre Req's currently. Instead of working full time and taking 1 or 2 classes per semester to fufill the pre-med requirements, I was hoping to go full time and complete all the pre-reqs in a structured setting.

AUA has a 2 year program, are there any schools with a 1 year program?

Thanks.

Big mistake to take pre-reqs outside of the US if you are a US student.

I am a U.S. Citizen, but was actually thinking the most efficient way to approach medical school would be the Caribbean route seeing that i'm in my 30's.

Why would taking pre-reqs outside the U.S. be a bad idea?

When it comes to state licensing, the fact that your pre-reqs were done outside of the US could become an issue and prevent licensing in a few picky states. This is an issue for Carib students because we are reviewed on a case-by-case basis for licensing.

In addition, AUA is not approved in all 50 states so that is another strike against the school.

Now, if you are only interested in working a handful of states, then you should spend a few days and call/email the licensing boards and ask them whether doing pre-reqs outside of the US (with a US undergrad degree) would be a problem.
