1 yr vs. 2yr MS

I was thinking if it would make any difference for the med schools if I enrol in one or two-years MS program. Are there advantages/disadvantage in either of them?

Most of those M.A./M.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences, Physiology, etc., are 1-2 years in length. The M.A. in Medical Sciences program at BU is advertised as a 1-year program, but nearly all students are there for 2 years, working on their theses. The advertisement is a ploy to squeeze another $35,000 out of your bank account, not to mention the $10,000 you need to live in Boston.

Some other programs may indeed be one year in length.
