Who here has NEVER cheated on anything their whole life, whether it be with a cheat sheet, putting equations in a calculator, copying homework, giving your teacher a fake excuse for a late paper, etc...?

Are you serious??? I would expect that NOBODY would have cheated! It completely blows my mind that this is even a question worth asking but for completely different reasons than what you guys have been responding to so far. No, I have never cheated on a test. I have never cheated on a paper. I have never copied answers for a homework. Really, are you guys serious? You cheat on exams??? Is this a regular thing or has it only happened once or twice? Wow... just wow...
ditto...the aforementioned definition of cheating would definitely include these things, and everyone has done it. If you can't admit to it, I think would be being a little self righteous.Whoa there...I believe the OP said EVER. I copied homework all the time in junior high because I was lazy. That would be considered cheating. So basically you are trying to tell us that you have never been told an answer to any homework problem in your entire life. You have never had your parents help you more than they should have on a school project?
I do not and will not cheat anyore as it is something I have grown out of (as soon as I got into high school). But I find it hard to believe anyone that says they are perfect.
This thread is clearly a way for the OP to talk about how great he/she/it thinks they are, morally. I do my siblings HW/projects for them sometimes when they come home from 7 hours of school, followed by 6 hours of various sports practices. I guess this means I'm helping them cheat, whatever.
I'd have to beg to differ on that one. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think it is refreshing to depart from the usual "oh my God" threads, and actually address some deeper issues that everyone is dealing with. This is a really stupid thread, it really doesn't pertain to getting into D-school. I am not saying this because I cheat, just because it would be a service to SDN as a whole not to have threads as useless as this one.

Easy Amsie, in light of another SDNer's statement that she has never done anything wrong in the slightest, I'm trying to figure out if I am morally corrupt because I and everyone i know has at some time in their life done something questionable. And I still think my friends and I are moral people, I just think nobody is perfect and life isn't black and white.
For example say you didn't notice a section of math homework one day in 8th grade, so you copy your friend's. Or you worked all night on a problem and couldn't get it so the next day your friend explains it to you and tells you the answer. Cheating both, and while I didn't make a practice of it, I know I've done things like this on occasion growing up.
This thread is a spin-off of another thread. I'm just curious. If you aren't interested, you don't have to read it. Bye bye 🙂
ps - and if you say you are 100% pure, I believe you. Good job. Not here to dis, just wanna know.

The Webster Dictionary defines the word cheat as such:
(v) deceive; beguile; defraud. 👎 swindle; fraud
I don't see how getting help on your homework fits this category? The purpose of homework is to practice and work through problems until you obtain an understanding. Receiving this kind of help is not cheating. Even if you don't arrive at the answer on your own, you receive information which you can go over until you understand it. Now, if you are stealing someone's homework, making a copy and turning it in under the premise that you have put forth an effort; that's cheating.
Never cheated on exams, and I never will... But in high school my gf did my homework for me sometimes..

Actually the OP is doing an experiment based on a thread that involved a highly self-righteous tattletale.
pine88 said:But Hotty claims to have never cheated in any way, so it made me wonder if I am just overly cynical about the world. Doesn't look like it though.
