I attended a Masters program at Drexel's center city campus (attached to the Hahnemann University Hospital) so I know the center city area pretty well. I can't comment on the apartments but the area is pretty decent. Center City is def one of the better sections of the city of Philadelphia. The location of your apartment puts you pretty close to the SWEAT fitness gym as well which is a really nice facility.
