Hello, I am a Canadian student studying in Canadian university. I will be applying to both U.S. and Canadian dental schools next cycle, and was wondering what my chances are and what I need to work on. Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.5~3.6. With worst year dropped (some Canadian dental schools do this, btw), 3.7~3.8.
DAT: 25AA/26TS
Extracurricular: ~1,000 hours in labs, ~100 in hospital, and not much else.
Involvement within school: president of a cultural club.

I know I definitely should work on shadowing hours, but what else should I work on otherwise? Also, any suggestions on which schools to apply for?

Any input is greatly appreciated!
Make sure you get some more solid volunteering hours in. Schools like to see a student who wants to give back and cares about a certain cause.
