OK - I understand what you're talking about. He's suggesting a gap year for someone to get 200 extra hours of nonclinical experiences and to follow-through with presenting his poster (to be eligible for T20). My eyes rolled to the back of my head reading that.

Adcoms actually look up your name on Google every app cycle. I have had countless past applicants tell me this. Adcoms on here have pointed out how students do get in trouble for things they post on SDN. Still have fun but try to lean on the more professional side of things to be on the conservative side.

Yeah, some people are way too serious and don’t have sense of humor at all, which is not a good trait for a physician who is going to work with people for the upcoming 30+ years. Just don’t say anything really inappropriate; I, personally, would never go to such “robotic” physician or a school with such culture (haha, sounds as I am in a position of choosing between schools 🙁(((( )
