Could you please describe him a bit, seems that I missed this character?

You can look up his posts first hand

“All you need is good stats. If you think your volunteering, essays, and research matter you are an idiot.” Take that attitude, put it in one of the most opinionated drunk dude-bros, give them the thought process of a toddler and the vocabulary of a sailor. That is mikebagwell

So essentially the anti-Walter

No no no, Walter thinks you need the stats AND to be an astronaut. But he was super sweet. Just a troll.

I never knew that Walter Raleigh was a troll. I saw his posts for a while as a lurker and nothing he said ever "got me," until I saw Goro post something about muting him.

Did y’all hear about the chick selling her bath water for $30 a piece? She sold out in one afternoon, a couple people drank it and went to the hospital...
I only heard that some guy with molecular biology degree figured out that this was just a water, that chick was not in that bath.

That Harvard only accepts astronauts, combat vets, social media influencers, and CEOs.

I just found this thread:

OK - I understand what you're talking about. He's suggesting a gap year for someone to get 200 extra hours of nonclinical experiences and to follow-through with presenting his poster (to be eligible for T20). My eyes rolled to the back of my head reading that.

I really want to make a “High stats and awesome ECs” thread just so people can see how few of us there really are.

Apparently schools can easily figure out the people behind the names so if it's not something you would like the dean of your college to know then it's better left unsaid.
I think you take this too serious, we are just having fun on this small island of memes amid that sea of good/not good/stupid/troll/neurotic/etc threads. There is nothing really unprofessional or inappropriate here.

I think you are both right, but if a school wants to reject me because of saying someone has a sweet candy ass or calling a troll an dingus then that is not my school.

I don't think so...? Unless you post at every school's thread that you applied to or some really revealing info.

Technically, they can. But it will take so much of work that nobody is going to undertake it.
Adcoms actually look up your name on Google every app cycle. I have had countless past applicants tell me this. Adcoms on here have pointed out how students do get in trouble for things they post on SDN. Still have fun but try to lean on the more professional side of things to be on the conservative side.

Yeah, some people are way too serious and don’t have sense of humor at all, which is not a good trait for a physician who is going to work with people for the upcoming 30+ years. Just don’t say anything really inappropriate; I, personally, would never go to such “robotic” physician or a school with such culture (haha, sounds as I am in a position of choosing between schools 🙁(((( )

I def know they google. I have new YouTube views in the last 2 weeks that I have not had any views for the last 3 years...

Nothing ive seen on this thread is bad.
Good general advice, sure. Don’t make racist comments and the like.

I miss when WWE was good

I was going to pay for a way to see if they looked up my name but that's a smart free way of doing it. Thanks for letting us know!
