Why not do the rotation and study for step 2? Just based on the online rotation at my program which isn't very time consuming.
I assume you have a good step 1 score?
Step 2 will be way way more important i think after step 1 becomes p/f.
I've found that a great step 2 can help offset a poor step 1. You want step 1 and 2 to be similar otherwise. A poor step 2 would hurt. Not sure how online rotations work but audition rotations are huge for selection.

Yes. Study hard.
Trying to debate on whether to do an online ortho rotation or two next month to show interest or just study for Step 2. I already did all rotations my school is able to offer (two max)
Most of these online rotations take like 2 hours a day tops. You can definitely study for step 2 during that time
