You could add 200+ hours of non clinical volunteering such as food bank, homeless shelter.
Could I keep doing Big Brother Big Sister (that's what my childcare volunteer is) or would you recommend diversifying it a bit?

Do not say childcare volunteer if you are serving as a Big Brother Big Sister. The program is well-known and childcare insinuates something like helping out at a daycare.

Sounds good, just to follow up, would my penpal activity count as non-clinical volunteering or should I switch to something that's more face-to-face?

Face-to-face is always going to be preferable. I am impressed if you actually are communicating with pen/cil and paper as opposed to a group chat. 🙂

I actually have been writing back and forth through pencil and paper! Should I make a point to mention that next year when I write my application?

Yes, that would be of interest considering how everything is digital these days.

I was making the remark in jest as per generational differences in communication. 🙂 But I think it would be good to appreciate.
