You have awesome extracurriculars so that aspect will definitely help you stand out. Your oGPA and sGPA are basically at matriculated dental students averages so that is another beneficial aspect to your application. As you know, your DAT is too low though, especially your TS average considering you were a biochemistry and organic chemistry TA. That does not necessarily reflect well and so you must commit a lot of time and energy to crushing your DAT retake, especially the science sections. Give everything you got for the DAT retake and your chances should be pretty good at getting into a school for the next cycle. Best of luck to you, you got this!!

You can probably get in somewhere, but I’d retake. Raising your AA by 1-2 points can make a huge difference. Put your best effort into retaking this exam and hopefully you’ll end up getting top choice with a scholarship.

Get your DAT up to a 20 and you will be accepted somewhere! 17 DAT is not going to get you in. Trust me... I tried. Took me 3 years but I finally raised my DAT from a 17 to a 21 and that made all the difference! Good luck!
